Mom’s Kitchen, Gloucester. Small restaurant with limited seating. Makes up for that by offering big portions, and fresh traditional breakfast. Definitely a locals place. Friendly service, everyone is open to chatting. Really does feel like your in moms kitchen. Nothing fancy here. Had the egg sandwich on a croissant, egg cheese bacon on the and the coffee cake. This hearty meal should hold you till dinner. Fresh fresh! Very reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.
Great food Friendly service They were super busy, but worked hard to get you seated as quickly as possible.
Really love this family-owned diner. It’s not common in big cities anymore. The food is as great as the diner food is supposed to be, fresh, yum, and comforting. The service is so friendly, warm and attentive. A great experience and would come back again.
If you are looking for breakfast options in Gloucester, MA you gotta try Mom’s Kitchen! The crew there is amazing and kind! It’s a tiny place but they manage to accommodate quite a few guests and they’ll take your number and let you know when a table is ready for you. Super nice! The food is great, prepared with love. We tried the French toasts and they are delicious!
The dives are always the best places to eat. Just a block away from the Beauport hotel this treasure has a great menu and terrific service. Come hungry and leave satisfied
This is a place that you just have to love, it feels a bit like time travel to a nostalgic diner. All of that was complimented with fast friendly service and good food. Try the cinnamon roll, it was delicious. I left with a full belly and a smile on my face.
We loved this place so much, we’ve eaten there twice on our five nights stay and we’ll probably eat there one or two more times. It is right next to our hotel, which is super convenient. They have a lot of specialty items that are so delicious. I want to try it all. The mom’s special is my favorite so far but the fish cakes (although I didn’t love the traditional Boston style beans served with the fish cakes, I’m still glad I tried them) and biscuits and gravy were really good too. I love the seasoning they put on the potatoes and in the gravy. Everyone around us was raving about the coffee rolls. That might be our next thing we try. Their servers are great and very sweet. I love the adorable hand drawn portrait of “Mom" hanging up in the restaurant.
The best hollandaise sauce in the world! I am very picky about hollandaise sauce and asked for it on the side so I can try it before its smothered in my food. It was very good, hearty and a yummy tang at the end and best of all not sweet! I've had some that were not to my taste. The fish cake benedict was perfect, not too salty and the english muffin on the bottom wasn't soggy or too toasty. The homefries were on another level, probably the best I've ever had. The boys loved their plates too, eggs benedict with corn beef hash. Adding to it was endless hot coffee that tasted very good. I'm usually a light sugar and cream girl but this coffee flavor was perfect for me without anything in it. And And And, the famous big coffee cake? I don't even like cinnamon rolls and I ate it. Definitely a shared item though it is parge! They make muffins too and it was good, cakey and moist! Very cute place and the staff, is on point and very kind, our waitress Amy was very pleasant and down to earth! Def try out this place!!!! Thank you Mom's Kitchen!
